’24 Spring Rosé Case!!

Looking back over past emails I realized I usually have a “Spring Rosé Case” out in early to mid March, but obviously this year it took a little while for Mother Nature to get us all in the mood for refreshing pink wine. But the past few days, and checking long term forecasts, it seems the time is now to start planning for warm weather indulgences as the sun climbs higher in the sky. So here we find ourselves with the year’s first array of refreshers, in this instance a mixed case of 2 bottles each of six different delightfully dry rosés for just $150.00! $12.50 a bottle for a case of spring pleasures? Yes, please!! When the warm sun is shining and a cold bottle of rosé sounds just about perfect, forget that trip to the store. Just walk to wherever you keep your wine, toss a bottle in the fridge, and you’ll be set!

2023 CHATEAU ROUTAS Rosé Coteaux Varois en Provence
$17.95 bottle/ $172.00 case
Always among the palest of pink rosés but a wine that pops with classic Provencål aromas and flavors of mineral, spice, and wild strawberries with brisk acids keeping everything tight! If you’ve been working hard in your garden and deserve a thirst quenching reward, this is exactly what should be splashing into your glass!

2023 DIVISION WINEMAKING CO. “Ouest”* Rosé
$17.95 bottle/ $172.00 case
PDX-based Division Wines have been making their French-inspired grape juice for years, and this bright and buzzingly fresh Yakima Valley pink is such a treat. Organically grown gamay noir grapes that see little intervention and the tiniest amounts of sulfur at bottling make for a red fruit and spice infused wine that will be a perfect chilled delight with burgers and veggies off the grill as the weather warms!
*BTW- “ouest” is pronounced “west”. Just in case you were wondering😉

2022 RUGGERI CORSINI Langhe Rosato
$15.95 bottle/ $153.00 case
Just a lovely, über-aromatic Piedmontese blend from this criminally under-the-radar producer. A rare 100% nebbiolo rosé that jumps from the glass with sensory awakening cherries, florals, spice, and minerals. Last time I had it I was pulling some grilled shrimp off the weber kettle and it was food & wine perfection!

2021 LES QUATRE TOURS Aix-en-Provence Rosé
$13.95 bottle (was $15.95)/ $134.00 case
Every time I open this at home (which seems to be quite often, btw) I’m amazed that this classic pink, now 3 years old and 2 years post-release, just keeps drinking beautifully and has lost ZERO of its crisp fruit and palate slapping acidity. In fact it almost seems to keep getting better and better, which is all good with me!
>> 90 pts- Vinous: “Bright and sharply focused on the nose, displaying fresh citrus fruit and red berry scents and a touch of white flowers. Lively strawberry, tangerine and peach pit flavors show fine definition and deepen with air. Nervy and taut on the energetic finish, which leaves floral and orange zest notes behind.”

2022 SEVEN HILLS Rosé “Columbia Valley”
$11.95 bottle/ $124.00 case
This was a recent email special, and I was shockingly able to restock, so you’re all the beneficiaries! At the winery they’re asking $18, and across the internet it goes for anywhere between $13-$18. I had it open a few weekends ago here and not a negative word was spoken. Oh, and I sold every single bottle in the store, so there’s that!!
>> 90 pts- Vinous: “The cabernet franc dominated ’22 rosé opens with a pretty mix of peppery rose and citrus tinged wild strawberries, with a hint of grapefruit up front that gives way to crisp green apples. It tapers off with cheek puckering tension, leaving a mineral tinge to slowly fade.”

2022 BIELER PERE & FILS Coteaux d’Aix-En-Provence Rosé “Sabine”
$10.95 bottle (was $14.95!)/ $104.00 case
I was able to score a precious few more cases of this deeply discounted French fave so of course, considering it’s outrageous bang-for-the-buck and exceedingly positive customer reviews, it has to be included herein!
>> 90 pts- Vinous: “Fresh red berry, pit fruit, and citrus aromas are complimented by floral accents. Juicy and well concentrated with lively strawberry, red currant, and orange pith flavors. finishes long and subtly chewy.”

~ ~ SPRING ’24 ROSÉ CASE (or half): Get a carefully hand packed case of two bottles each of the above six pink pleasures for just $150.00!! Or grab a half case of one bottle of each for $79.00. Either way it’s time to bring on spring!!
